Good seafood with an excellent selection, reasonable prices, excellent salad bar, informal. A good way to start a trip to Maine! Let's hope that they stay open!..

On a recent Birthday trip planned by my daughter Kelly on our first day in Portsmouth , New Hampshire we meandered over to Kittery, Maine( 5 minutes away) to this gem ! It looks very unassuming from the outside, with a lobster shack next door selling lobsters but this place has the BEST lobster hands down! We enjoyed the salad bar that had plenty to offer, a delicious cocktail but the star was the lobster claw / chowder combo! The lobster was sooo fresh and cooked beautifully. I have had many a chewy lobster lobster at the hands of inexperienced cooks. If you love lobster please make your way here. It truly is a destination restaurant! I hope to go back .

If you are looking for amazingly fresh cooked lobster in a casual sit down restaurant then Warren's has got to be the place when in the area. First time in Kittery for us and stopped for lunch on the start of the weekend. The place clearly has a following and was busy but we easily got a table for two. Comfy seating and some have a view of the waterway along the windows. Our waitress and service was lovely. Full bar and my mom started with a cocktail- a raspberry Cosmo- they have a special name for it I forget, but it was great! We got the the popcorn lobster to start which I have to say I wanted to try but was hesitant- would it be chewy, too fried? None of the above- nice pieces of lobster, thin breading, so tender, and butter and tartar sauce on the side. Their tartar sauce is so good- weird to say but true! Really good and I would go back for just this appetizer alone. We also got the claws and chowder lunch which is a bowl of their clam chowder and then a side of three lobster claws. It came with one side and the salad bar. You will see I took no pics of the lobster claws because sadly we dug right in. OMG so tender so easy to crack open and eat.... Just what we were looking for and so happy we found. I have to admit, I was a little worried about a salad bar with everyone going up to get it yourself- yes germ thing for me.... But it was very clean constantly being re-stocked with fresh stuff with all staff wearing gloves. So we went for it and great salad fixings for sure. Something for everyone! The restaurant has been here forever and they have the history of their menus posted as you come inside. $2 for a lobster dinner in 1946! Wow.... Also has a gift shop inside you can get various things to remember them by. We got a hand salt scrub and some glasses. We will totally be visiting the area again, next time with more family in tow (because it is family friendly with TONS of seafood and non seafood items). Thank you Warrens for the amazing lobster, service and great lunch time experience!

We stumbled across this Maine staple by accident and boy and I glad we did! The wait time was 30mins but we were greeted by friendly staff and had the option to get drinks while we waited. The restaurant was a throwback to the early childhood of our parents with friendly service and good food. I started with the epic lobster claw and jumbo shrimp Bloody Mary for $15. It was an experience all to its own! We stared with the coconut fried shrimp, which was perfect! I had the lobster stuffed haddock, which came with a huge amount of lobster stuffing (see picture) and a baked potato. My husband had the baked scallops with French fries. Both meals came with the salad bar, which had plenty to offer. Overall it's a down home place offering great Maine food and atmosphere. We will be back!

I cant say enough about my waiter Evan. He was a kind and thorough server and just seemed like an overall good guy. The restaurant setup itself is similar to many waterfront seafood joints. It was cleaner inside than places like Browns, etc. i was seated immediately upon arrival around 320pm and they stop welcoming customers in at 4pm. You are allowed to eat well passed 4pm though. Arnold Palmers are free refills so i tried one and it was ok. Def was unsweetened tea on top ha. The salad bar is the entire reason i visited. I hate seafood but was willing to try due to the salad bar. A good salad bar is hard to find!! I ordered a large basket of onion rings. My first 3 i ate were ok but then i tasted fishiness and refused to eat any more. I had 3 rounds of salad and the salad bar exceeded my hopes. I wish cauliflower was included but that was the only thing i missed. Hot cherry peppers whole and sliced was a pleasant surprise. I loved the salad, veggies were fresh and dressings were great. Very clean!! My date liked her fried plate of clams and scallops but didnt like the fries. She was delighted that Warrens now carries Reposado tequila. Overall i would 100% return. The waiter Evan was great, the salad bar was great, and they even asked me if it was ok to start tearing the salad bar down. It was 430pm now. After 3 plates i was full but the fact they asked me if it was ok just shows what a great mom and pop restaurant this is. Considerate. Even if you dont like seafood, the salad bar is worth the journey. After ordering the onion ring appetizer my salad was only a $7.50 add on. What a steal!! The interior was not fishy at all minus a few random whiffs. I was shocked. Lot of happy families could be seen together crushing lobster shells together. Great spot!

Came in here on a busy summer Saturday and was gladly accommodated to seat outside. Our server Kelsey was friendly and attentive. BF liked his seafood jambalaya, it was perfectly seasoned and I enjoyed my twin lobsters and the tomalley inside, so sweet . The best part of our lunch was the salad bar, it's a meal on its own. And they have great drinks, the French martini is awesome! Will definitely come back next time we're Maine.

My 2023 Maine Lobster Roll Crawl started today at Warren's. I was in Rye for a celebration of life and went over the bridge for a quick roll. This is mostly an eat in spot, seemingly popular with the older crowd. I ordered a roll to go with two lovely young woman at the front check in. 28.00 for a plain roll, no sides. The to go order came super fast. I brought my roll to Odiorne Park and ate. I would say it was 5 ounces of sweet briny meat, little mayo on a slightly dry buttered hot dog roll. The meal was lovely. The chunks of claw and tail were massive. I loved the flavor. The bread roll mostly went to the birds. A solid B+/A- for my first Maine roll of the season. For a review of the atmosphere, this is an old school spot that is definitely worthy of a visit. It's positively charming.
